Cathy is a native of Rocky Mount. She returned in 1982 after having lived in Mississippi, South Carolina, Florida, and Raleigh. Cathy received her B.S. degree in Home Economics from East Carolina University and her M.Ed. in Elementary Education from the University of South Carolina. She is a former teacher and college instructor. In addition, she enjoyed 20 years as an Interior Designer in her own custom window treatment business,"Something for the Window".
Cathy is a member of Englewood Baptist Church in Rocky Mount. She has served as Chair of the Rocky Mount Christian Women's Club, has training in lay Christian Counseling and Chaplaincy, and is currently a speaker for women's ministry. Cathy's son, Steve, lives in Florida. Her daughter, Nikki, lives in South Carolina with her husband, Matthew, and sixteen-year-old son, Hunter. Cathy currently lives in Rocky Mount with her husband, Randy, who is a former air traffic controller. Cathy wrote a book about their experiences with the 1981 air traffic controller's strike entitled, What It Means When God Goes on Strike
Cathy knows that Rocky Mount's greatest asset is its people. She is thrilled to have a new career in real estate and is tremendously enjoying working with the people in the area who want to sell their homes and new people who want to relocate to a great Eastern North Carolina area!
